“When you feel like you’re drowning in life don’t worry—your Lifeguard walks on water.” – Anonymous
Life is a journey, and, in all journeys, you have highs and lows. You will have some straight paths as well as some crooked paths. You will have some smooth roads as well as some bumpy roads. You will have some areas that are well lit and then some that are completely dark. You will have peaks and valleys, as well as ebb and flow. You will encounter mountains to climb as well as straight paths to walk. Check out my website
Life can be beautiful and messy at the same time. You must make a choice if you are just going to lie down and allow the dust to cover you and eventually with weather conditions just disintegrate and die. Disintegrate – to undergo a change in composition. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/disintegrate
Your other choice is simply just to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again and just keep moving forward. Or as the phrase says, “cowboy up.” The phrase cowboy up it means when things are getting tough you have to get back up, dust yourself off and keep trying. – https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cowboy%20up.
When you feel like you’re drowning remember that God is with you, and he is an ever-present help in times of trouble. This is what the bible tells us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46;1. There is no trouble that we bring on ourselves or that comes to us that God cannot fix and make disappear. A prime example of this would be the story of Peter walking on water coming to Jesus and then he allowed doubt to creep in his head, and he immediately started to drown, and Jesus extended his hand and saved him. “And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray and when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, it is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.” – Matthew 14:22-33.
So, remember when things seem the darkest that is when God’s light shines the brightest. Keep the faith, trust and believe in God and remember what his word says, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” – Isaiah 43:2.
