Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. – Galatians 6:2

What is a miracle? It’s getting past yourself and giving back to the world. – Ryan C. Lowe (Positive Attitude Coach). We are all looking for a miracle in some form or fashion. Once we receive it then life throws us another curveball and then we are in hot pursuit of another miracle. Jesus performed countless miracles in the bible but it was contingent on doing something first. The Wedding in Cana:  John 2:1-11 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. So what was done for the miracle to happen? And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. Man born Blind Healed:  John 9:1-7 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. So what was done for the miracle to happen? And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. Tax/Tribute Money:  Matthew 17:24-27 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. So what was done for the miracle to happen? Go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. There is a recent story on the internet about a woman named Caroline Boudreaux, who had all the material things she wanted living in Austin TX but was dissatisfied with her life. She took a year off from work to travel the world and came across an orphanage in rural India. There was not enough food for the children there to eat and poor living conditions. She was so moved by what she saw that she created an organization called The Miracle Foundation. They have now been in existence for over 16 years and have helped over 1,700 children. Caroline is now satisfied with her life. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Be Someone’s Miracle. Check out my website

I recently attended a “Night of Hope” event with Joel Osteen and was so moved by the number of people that chose to become a part of an organization named World Vision where you can sponsor a child. There were hundreds of people in line holding their card with the picture of the child they were given to sponsor including my husband and me. My husband jokingly said to me, it’s taken you 31 years of marriage to finally give me a son.” I can tell you it is a rewarding experience to help someone else. If you don’t believe me, here are quotes from other people:

Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others. – Booker T. Washington

I prefer death to tiredness. I am never tired of serving others. – Leonardo da Vinci

We rise by lifting others. – Robert Ingersall

It is literally true that you can succeed best and quicker by helping others to succeed. – Napolean Hill

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. – Winston Churchill

Philippians 2:4 – Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Luke 6:38 – Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

1 John 3:17 – But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels [of compassion] from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

Matthew 25:35-40 – For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

James 2:14-17 – What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

Galatians 6:2 – Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

John 15:12 – This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Matthew 5:16 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Proverbs 19:17 – He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Proverbs 22:9 – He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

Matthew 5:42 – Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Romans 15:1 – We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Who Should We Mimic

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Who Should We Mimic? My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. – John 10:27. http://www.biblegateway.com.

The dictionary definition of a sheep states:  an animal with a thick woolly coat that is often raised for meat or for its wool and skin. Then it goes on to say:  a timid defenseless creature. www.merriam-webster.com. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Who Should We Mimic? Check out my website

Sheep are gentle, quiet, innocent animals. They do not give their shepherd’s a lot of problems. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Who Should We Mimic?

Sheep are mentioned in the bible more than 500 times, more than any other animal. Now, there has to be a reason why GOD placed so much emphasis on sheep in the bible. GOD wants us to be like these animals that are timid and defenseless so then he can mold us to be the images he so desires. GOD wants to purify us like how a fining pot (a vessel) refines metals.

Goats, unlike sheep, are rebellious. In the bible, goats are sometimes used to symbolize evil.

God, why hast thou cast us off forever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? – Psalm 74:1

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. – Psalm 100:3

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. – Matthew 9:36

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. – Matthew 10:16

So who should we mimic, a sheep but of course!

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Perseverance – If we are to enjoy the good things in life that GOD wants for us we all must learn how to persevere. Nothing good in life comes without endurance and hard work. Does GOD really want us to enjoy the good things in life and live abundantly, you better believe he does because he says it in his word. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Perseverance.

What the Bible says about Perseverance

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. – John 10:10. However we are not to skate through life and expect to be blessed abundantly. GOD’s word has a lot to say about that also. The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.  The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them. The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death. – Proverbs 12:24-28. He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster. – Proverbs 18:9. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame. Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. – Proverbs 10:2-8. A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. – Proverbs 19:5.Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:  Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,  Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:  So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. – Proverbs 6:6-11. http://www.biblegateway.com. Prayer is the acid test of the inner man’s strength. A strong spirit is capable of perseverance until the answer comes. A weak one grows weary and fainthearted in the maintenance of praying. I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. – Revelation 2:2-3
