Sheep are mentioned in the bible more than 500 times, more than any other animal. Now, there has to be a reason why GOD placed so much emphasis on sheep in the bible. GOD wants us to be like these animals that are timid and defenseless so then he can mold us to be the images he do desires. GOD wants to purify us like how a fining pot (a vessel) refines metals.
