Her step-mother didn’t like her one bit and so she made her life miserable. Cinderella was forced to live in poverty while those around her enjoyed the good life especially her step-sisters. The story of Cinderella teaches us to enjoy simple pleasures, about endurance, and about the importance of maintaining an optimistic attitude and holding onto hope. So why should we have hope in God? Having anything else can be destructive to us. ANGER weakens the liver. GRIEF weakens the lungs. WORRY weakens the stomach. STRESS weakens the heart and brain. FEAR fails the kidneys.
Godly character produces an increasing measure of expectation of what the Lord will do in and through and with us. Hope boosts our sense of worth, confidence, and optimism.
