A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. – John 13:34-35. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Valentine’s Day.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. – Mark 12:30-31. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Valentine’s Day.

And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her. – Genesis 29:20. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Valentine’s Day. Check out my website

Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured.  It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

V = Valiant – GOD is strong, powerful, & courageous. Look at what he did by The Red Sea.

A = Amazing – GOD is a wonder. Look how he created the heavens and the earth in six days.

L = Love – Jesus loved Lazarus and his sisters Mary & Martha. When Mary fell down before Jesus weeping because Lazarus had died, Jesus groaned in his spirit and was troubled. Jesus wept.

E = Empathy – Our Lord and Savior has empathy towards us. Reference how many times he overlooked the sins of the Israelites in the wilderness when he could have destroyed them.

N = Near – GOD is with us at all times. He is trinity (Father, Son & Holy Spirit). He tells us that the Holy Spirit dwells and lives within us. – Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? – 1 Corinthians 3:16

T = Teacher – Jesus was the greatest teacher of all time. The investment he made in the disciples and the people where he traveled was all for love. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. – John 8:2. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. – John 3:2. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. – Matthew 4:23

I = Infinite – GOD’S love for us is immeasurable and limitless. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16

N = Navigator – GOD is the one who directs the course of our lives. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. – Phillipians 4:19 In this bible verse the provision of GOD for his children had its roots deep in the Old Testament. This goes back to when GOD created man and placed him in the Garden of Eden. In the garden Adam and Eve had all they needed. This is the epitome of GOD’S love.

E = Everlasting – GOD’S love for us is everlasting. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) – Ephesians 2:4-5. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. – Zephaniah 3:17. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8. The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. – Jeremiah 31:3

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Football Trusting The Quarterback

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Football Trusting The Quarterback!

The rules of football can be complex and vary depending on the level of play.  There are many rules and penalties that are enforced during a football game. Most football penalties result in a loss or gain of yardage depending on whether the penalty is against the offense or the defense. The severity of the penalty determines the number of yards. These are some of them:  False Start, Offside, Holding, Pass Interference, Facemask, Roughing the Passer or Kicker, Intentional Grounding, Ineligible Receiver Downfield, etc. http://www.wickipedia.com Christian Books – Donna Louis – Football Trusting The Quarterback. Then there is the Quarterback. The quarterback is arguably the most important position on a football team. The quarterback leads the offense and sets the tone for the team. There are certain skills needed to be a Quarterback. For example, the quarterback needs to have Leadership and Intelligence. These are skills that GOD our heavenly father has as well, which is why we should be trusting him fully because he is the one who sets the tone for our lives. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Football Trusting The Quarterback.

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. – 2 Samuel 22:31-33

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. – Psalm 2:12

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. – Psalm 18:2-3

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. – Psalm 20:7

But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. – Psalm 31:14-15

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. – Psalm 56:3-4

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. – Psalm 62:8

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. – Proverbs 3:5-8

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. – Proverbs 29:25

For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. – Isaiah 30:15

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. – Nahum 1:7

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. – 1Timothy 4:10

And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. – Hebrews 2:13

So as you sit down today to enjoy the games and trust that the team you are rooting for to win that their Quarterback will win the game, remember the biggest Quarterback of them all GOD! Christian Books – Donna Louis – Football Trusting The Quarterback.

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Believe

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Believe.

The definition of the word BELIEVE states – to have a firm conviction as to the goodness, efficacy, or ability of something. A psychological state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true. Religious belief, a belief regarding the supernatural, sacred, or divine. http://www.wickipdeia.com Check out my website

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Believe – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. – John 6:47

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. – Romans 10:9

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. – Matthew 21:22

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. – Romans 15:13

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. – Romans 10:10

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. – Hebrews 11:6

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Believe – As you can see the BIBLE has an enormous amount to say about believing. Joyce Meyer once stated, “We are called “believers,” not “achievers,” so let’s make sure we always believe first and then do what God leads us to do.”

B = Begin – to give attention to something. We should all start our day with prayer, thanksgiving, and gratitude because we know not when our time is up. For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. – Ecclesiastes 9:12

E = Emulate – to try to be like (someone or something you admire). If we say we want to be like Christ so we can get to heaven then we need to copy his ways. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. – 1 John 2:6

L = Love – a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person. The object of attachment, devotion, or admiration. GOD commands us to love one another. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. – John 13:34. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. – 1 Corinthians 13:13

I = Invest – to involve or engage especially emotionally. We are to invest time in our walk with GOD. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. – Psalm 1:2. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. – Ephesians 5:15-16

E = Endure – to regard with acceptance or tolerance. To undergo especially without giving in. Unfortunately, now too often we hear of someone committing suicide. If we are to emulate Christ then we are to endure. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. – Hebrews 12:

V = Vision – something that you imagine. A picture that you see in your mind. If you want to keep your belief in something you should have a vision board. Put up pictures of the things you want to achieve and keep it close so you will always keep striving and reaching. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. – Proverbs 29:18

E -= Enjoy – to take pleasure in something. To have or experience (something good or helpful). It is important for you to enjoy your life and to do that you need a proper balance. That is what God wants for you. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. – John 10:10

Some of the greatest minds knew how important it is to keep believing always and they spoke on the subject.

We are born believing. A man bears beliefs as a tree bears apples. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail. – Charles F. Kettering

If you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won’t, you most assuredly won’t. Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad. – Denis Waitley

If you believe in what you are doing, then let nothing hold you up in your work. Much of the best work of the world has been done against seeming impossibilities. The thing is to get the work done. – Dale Carnegie

You can do it if you believe you can. – Napoleon Hill

Whatever you believe with feeling becomes your reality. – Brian Tracy

So go for it – BELIEVE – BELIEVE – BELIEVE. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Believe.

Christian Books – Donna Louis – New Year’s Eve-New Year’s Day

Christian Books – Donna Louis – New Year’s Eve-New Year’s Day

Another year is coming to a close and the festivities of parties and entertainment are commencing. Where is the hot spot for the night? I need to go shopping and get an awesome outfit for tonight is what goes through your mind. For the single people, the biggest question is who can I kiss on New Year’s Eve? The memories of the lost broken relationship that you wish could have lasted until the New Year and then start fresh again couldn’t last. http://www.wickipedia.com. Christian Books – Donna Louis – New Year’s Eve-New Year’s Day. http://www.miraclebook.net

Then there is the long list of resolutions that we all make determined to keep them all. Especially the resolutions to lose weight and quit smoking. Now is when you start to see the bombardment of TV commercials for fitness centers, weight loss clinics, and let’s not forget all the women who book trips to the Caribbean to get liposuction surgery when all else has failed.

How about setting goals that are attainable instead of resolutions that we mostly never live up to?

How about trying to live each new day better than the last? We all need to be the best person we can be and spread love to everyone we meet.

How about being thankful for each new day that God has granted you because the next day is not promised to any of us. We all need to live in a daily state of gratitude, keep the faith, keep hope alive, trust God to provide for our every need and move us from a life of surviving to thriving.

Above all commit to treating each person you meet the way you wish to be treated and spread LOVE every day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christian Books – Donna Louis – The Living Gift

Christian Books – Donna Louis – The Living Gift!

Well the big day is over and Santa Claus has come and gone. Now stage two begins, the returning and exchanging of gifts. Check out my website

Christian Books There are all types of gifts:  clothes, electronics, jewelry, appliances, etc., however there is also the living gift.

This is the time of year when you see all types of commercials telling you to adopt a pet. Advertisements for the ASPCA, but there are other shelters as well. The pictures of the dogs and cats look so adorable, and then there are the benefits. Having a companion that will love you no matter what. The health benefits of keeping your blood pressure normal when you pet and stroke your four-legged companion. Christian Books – Donna Louis – The Living Gift

These are the living gifts that require responsibility. They are not an article of clothing that you can just return or exchange at the store. When you adopt an animal or decide to give one as a gift remember, they are a lifetime responsibility! They require food, water, shelter, healthcare, and above all LOVE. You cannot just decide to take a sick day here and there and just ignore them. Above all you cannot just decide you can’t be bothered anymore and put the animal out, they have feelings too. It is always important to use wisdom on a daily basis but this time of the year even more than ever. If you are not judicious in this gift giving it can turn out to be more harmful than good. If we don’t acknowledge the responsibility that is required to have these living gifts then places like the ASPCA become overloaded because we decide they are too much trouble and maintenance and we give them away and if no one adopts them then it becomes a tragedy.

So at this holiday season be mindful and remember the living gift is no ordinary gift!

Christian Books – Donna Louis – The Writer’s Oscar. Lights, Camera, Action!

Christian Books – Donna Louis – The Writer’s Oscar. Actors spend countless hours refining their theatrical skills in hopes of one day holding a tiny golden statue in their hands in front of their peers.

Writer’s do the same thing. Writer’s hone their skills via articles, manuscript submissions, blogs, contests, etc., in hopes of being recognized as a great writer.

I have just been blessed to have that title bestowed upon me as well as 49 other writers. Christian Books – Donna Louis – The Writer’s Oscar. Check out my book

As a writer nowadays the competition is mind boggling due to the staggering amount of books released ever year. As an unknown new author, it is extremely challenging to rise above the pack, but faith can move mountains.

50 writers including myself have just been chosen by the public out of hundreds of writers from “The Authorsshow.com” to be included in a book titled “50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading”, which will be available for purchase starting January 2016. This book has been called the “People’s Choice Award” for writers.

First I want to thank GOD for this miraculous blessing. I want to thank everyone who voted for me because this is a tremendous honor. I feel very humbled as a first-time author to have been chosen as one of these writers. I am very pleased with this accomplishment and my seal.

I am currently working on my second book, and I invite everyone to follow my blogs on my website; http://www.miraclebook.net.

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Thanksgiving

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Thanksgiving. The word alone echoes basic principals. We are to give thanks for everything as the bible states:  In everything give thanks:  for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18. We are also meant to give as the word says:  Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure pressed down, and shaken together, and running over shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.  Luke 6:38. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Thanksgiving.

However, giving does not mean only stocking up on Black Friday to give away at Christmas. We are to give of ourselves, give love, give uplifting thoughts, give a smile, give encouraging words. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Thanksgiving.

If we make a list of all the things we should be grateful and thankful for we would be amazed how much paper we would need. Women, for example, will go to their closets and state they don’t have the right pair of shoes for an occasion but, remember the quote from Denis Waitley – “I had the blues because I had no shoes until, upon the street, I met a man who had no feet.” Men like to complain about a talking woman who disturbs them when they are watching sports on TV namely football. What happens when that talking woman is not around to care for them when they get sick with a cold or flu? Christian Books – Donna Louis – Thanksgiving.

In Canada, Thanksgiving is celebrated in October. That is a great thing because they actually have time to celebrate Thanksgiving in the way it should be and now praise GOD the United States with most retailers has now pivoted back to previous years and is staying closed on Thanksgiving and allowing families to celebrate and place the emphasis back on giving thanks and being grateful and opening the day after Thanksgiving. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Thanksgiving.

During this Thanksgiving reflect on all the things you have to give thanks for as well as how to give to people. One simple way is when you’re in the supermarket and you have several items and somebody comes in line behind you with just one or two items, be kind and allow them to go ahead of you and smile. That is a form of giving.

Thanksgiving – “The True Essence of the Day!”

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Emotional Healing

Christian Books – Donna Louis – Emotional Healing. Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

We are living in a world that is so unpredictable, so it is great news to know that God is stable.

They say that anger weakens the liver, grief weakens the lungs, worry weakens the stomach, stress weakens the heart and brain and fear fails the kidneys. So where do these things come from that weaken our systems? Disturbances from our spouse, family members, place of employment, the news media etc. Christian Books – Donna Louis – Emotional Healing.

Well, known author, Joyce Meyer states “Today, people everywhere are struggling through life with damaged emotions. They’ve endured a lot of negative things, causing untold damage that needs to be dealt with. But all too often, these hurts are simply swept under the rug in an attempt to make them go away.”

Millions are struggling with the epidemic loss of lives in recent years due to guns. The list is astounding:  The Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, the 2012 Aurora shooting at the movie theatre in Colorado, the 2011 Tucson shooting in Arizona that affected Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford’s, the shooting in Charleston SC at the historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Pulse Night Club Massacre, Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting, 2017 Las Vegas Shooting and many more.  Christian Books – Donna Louis – Emotional Healing.

It’s been shown that healing quotes can make us well.  Each of our thoughts acts as either soothing cellular nutrition, or a poison dart that releases corrosive toxins. With our thoughts having such an impact on our recovery and well being, how can we maintain the kind of thoughts that will make an impact on our health and healing?  Let’s look at a few of these:

1- When you feel stress begin simmering within you, pause. Remember you are the master, not your emotions.
2- On the path to wellness one must learn to recognize fear. Particularly within ourselves. Anger is fear, jealousy is fear, even some ignorance. Health, however, is born from love.
3- Release everything within your mind and body that does not serve you.
4- Your thoughts release energy that can energize your body’s system to bring about healing.
5- When you want to be somewhere you’re not, stress develops. When you focus on the now you are in your full power.
6- You are not here to breathe anger, stress, and fear. Mentally overcome what is not right in your life and the physical aspects will follow.

Now let’s look at a few bible verses regarding emotional healing:

1- But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]. 1 Peter 5:10

2- Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

3- He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalms 23:3

4- Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalms 34:19

5- Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1

6- Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness. Psalms 30:11

7- The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Psalms 34:17

Live each day with gratitude, joy, and love and God will handle the rest! Christian Books – Donna Louis – Emotional Healing.

Book of Proverbs – Proverbs For The Modern Day – Peace

Book of Proverbs – Proverbs For The Modern Day – Peace – For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. – Romans 8:6

What does the word peace mean? The dictionary definition states a state of tranquility or quiet. Book of Proverbs – Proverbs For The Modern Day – Peace.

We should strive for peace in all situations, such as:  WarThen Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. – Matthew 26:52. LoveCharity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.  Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. – 1 Corinthians 4-8. Enemies – “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them. – Luke 6:27-31. Book of Proverbs – Proverbs For The Modern Day – Peace. Check out my website

So what can we do on a daily spiritual basis to instill peace? Let’s look at an acronym for peace and start there. Book of Proverbs – Proverbs For The Modern Day – Peace.

P = Profess – Everyone of us has had a godly experience of some sort that we know human flesh was incapable of making that situation even happen or happen as swiftly as it did. In my situation, it was to quit smoking instantly after 20 years of smoking every day with no patches, smokeless cigarettes, or anything at all. Now that was a miracle and I’ve never gone back. Whatever your experience is profess it to the world what God has done for you.

E = Educate – Talk and teach others about how wonderful it is to be a child of God. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16.  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? – Romans 8:32

A = Appreciate –  We all need to show gratitude to God for all that he has done for us on a daily basis. We have all heard the phrase ” the little things mean so much”, well that is true. Be grateful for things you never think about. Are you able to walk, talk, drive, see, hear, go to the bathroom by yourself without the assistance of a wheelchair or human being? If so then you are already out of the starting gate doing well and we all know how that turned out for “Justify” (the racing world’s latest triple crown winner).

C = Charity – In our world nowadays there are multitudes of companies asking for charity. However, you have to be selective and careful as to who you choose to help but you are required by God to assist. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. – Matthew 26:11. A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. – Psalms 112: 5-9

E = Empathy – We have all also heard the phrase “walk a mile in my shoes” but, would we really want to in some circumstances. There is a reason why God gave us two ears and one mouth so we can listen and share other people’s feelings, experiences, and emotions. “Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.” – Jack Handey. Book of Proverbs – Proverbs For The Modern Day – Peace.
