Noah, Seth, and Job according to their knowledge were faithful. We as disciples are faithful according to the knowledge we possess as long as we are devoted to applying the teachings of Jesus Christ. However we have to realize that we are unable to do this without the grace of God. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. – Titus 2:11-12
Do not feel disheartened if from time to time we fall short of perfection, remember what St. Paul said, “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.” – Romans 7:15. So what should we do? Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. – Psalm 138:8
